The Next Book - Friendships
I’ve just sent the next part of my Pellegrine story to Nifty. I don’t know if the hurricane has affected David. I hope he is alright.
I’ve actually finished a few more parts but I thought it best to send it one at a time. Expect about two or three days between posts if everything goes well.
Life has not been kind to me. A colleague took a well-deserved 16 day holiday last week. I agreed to cover her duties for her. What I didn’t expect was for the two women working under her to start quarreling the third day she was gone. They brought the matter up to me and I had only one person’s word against the other. I am only acquainted with these two women. I don’t know them well enough to be arbitrator. I have 9 more working days with them. It will be a very tough week ahead. My boss chuckled when I told him about the two. He told me that I was lucky that I didn’t have to deal with them on a long term basis. That female colleague of mine had to control the reins every day. My respect for this colleague soared after that short chat with my boss. If you don’t see new posts in Nifty for the next two weeks, you’ll know why. It hasn’t affected my working on the stories but yesterday was the worst. I got back so exhausted by the reticence of these two that I just went straight to bed after I got home from work. I didn’t have the appetite to go through dinner!
